After weeks of toil, I think that my army reserve is more
openly receptive of my drawings. They used to ask me after
their set, in (relative) privacy, "I look grumpy there.", "Is
my nose *that big*?" "my face *so cross-eyed?". This week
they've finally acknowledged my presence to the entire cafe
over the system. They even kindly gave me some tips before
setting pen to paper. "Tony, I like it when you draw the
microphone intruding my mouth. It is very flattering." or
"Tony, this is a bass guitar, I'm not strumming the banjo."
It's so nice to feel appreciated and to receive feedback. This month's

June 2002.
The Army reserve commercials show people parachuting,
learn to drive tanks, saving small villages all
before 7am. Incidentally, see the
benefits of joining the army reserve. I get a little kick-
back for each person who signs up from my website, so please
do so. ;). Either that, or you can join the folks at the Open
Mic nights here in San Jose. As I see it, its not so different.
You must be dressed up, be timely, and you're thrown into
low (no) paying, unknown situations of personal growth.
